The Clerk’s Office values the health and safety of our customers and employees. On November 30, 2020, the courthouse will move back to Phase II of the Maryland Judiciary Reopening Plan in response to the COVID-19 surge. The Clerk's Office will continue to offer the same convenient options to conduct business by telephone, email drop boxes and by mail. In-person services will be provided by APPOINTMENT ONLY to ensure proper physical distancing. Face coverings are required to receive service. Thank you for understanding and cooperation.
Drop Boxes: Paper filings will not be accepted at the Clerk’s counter. The Clerk’s Office will continue to use the drop boxes located in the Commissioner’s entrance at the courthouse for paper filings. A drop box is in the atrium entrance of the Judicial Administrative Services Building for documents relating to land records, business and marriage licenses. Please note that the drop boxes are checked frequently throughout the business day. Cash should not be placed in the drop box to pay fees as we cannot be responsible for missing payments, etc.
Commissioner’s entrance drop box: Located at 14735 Main St., Upper Marlboro, MD 20772, directly behind the Family Justice Center. A purple walkway leads to the steps of the Commissioner’s entrance.
Inside the Courthouse: Located outside of D1033 and is available during business hours Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Judicial Administrative Services Building: Located at 14701 Governor Oden Bowie Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. The entrance to the atrium faces the clock in front of the County Administration Building.
